U-Best Karaoke Playlist Manager

A YouTube-based karaoke search and queue app — search for songs, build a playlist, and play through it. Built with React, TypeScript, and Vite on the frontend, with an Express backend that proxies YouTube Data API v3 calls to keep the API key out of the browser and cache responses to stay under quota. The detection layer flags results based on title and description keywords (karaoke, instrumental, lyric, sing along, backing track) so the queue surfaces actual karaoke versions rather than studio recordings.

Created as a gift to accompany a Karaoke setup purchased for a family member.
